Carolina, the movie set

Welcome back!!!!!!!!

As I was driving onto campus this afternoon, I suddenly had the feeling of being on a movie set. Last weekend, Franklin Street had the air of a ghost town. But yesterday afternoon, as I drove down Franklin Street, it was as if a town had sprung up instantly. Last week, quiet; this weekend, explosive with energy. More animated people, runners, dogs that haven’t been here since last May. I felt my own energy building, in spite of a summer cold, and I thought, Yes, it’s time. Bring them on!
